Every time when i edit texts on sites runing on Joomla 3, the articles get a big amount of hits made by me. In JED there are many extensions which only can reset hits on artciles by using user`s filter. But I don`t want to reset hits to zero, I want Joomla just not count hits on articles when I logged in as Super User. That`s why I made a simple plugin named as SUHits for Joomla 3.

SUhits is "system" plugin. On system event onAfterInitialise it changes tha basic joomla class JTable onfly. When you are logged as Super User and plugin is published, Joomla 3 uses plugin`s special JTable class which does not count hits on articles made by Super Users. If you are guest, registered user or other - the hits counter works as usual.

I`ve tested plugin in Joomla 3, it works fine from 3.3.3 and Upper, also on 3.4. Do not try to install and publish it on Joomla 3.3.2 or earlier!

You can get a download link for a simple "like" below:

1. Istallation SUhits plugin

Install this plugin as usual through menu Extensions - Extension Manager - Select file. Select downloaded file and install. If everithing right, you`ll see a green message.

2. Using SUhits plugin

Find plugin with name "SuperUser Hits"  in menu Extensions - Plugin Manager, open it and publish it. It has no properties yet, just published or unpublished.

Then login in your site frontend as super user and Joomla 3 will not count hits on articles made by you. If you have any questions, you can ask them in comments.

Doesn't work for me! When I activate the plugin, I can't no longer open the page with the visitor statistics!
